Spacecraft Fighter Daniel F1 . This is the fither Daniel F1 version with one pilot. This model is equiped with 6 plasma guns and 4 ion cannons. The current version could be equipped with a laser gun in the rear position. This fighter could have missile instead of the 4 ion cannons and 2 plasma guns located below. The missile version would results in more accurate fire power, but less ammonitions during combat. 3 reactors are located at the rear and the fighter computer system has a fire optimisation capabilities that will control the guns and number to be used depending of the target. The pilot could enable this fonction and select manually the guns to be used. Also, the fighter has all the classical elements (elecrtonic jamming, energy field,...) .
This picture show the face view and the original idea to used the bottom of lego city plane.
This is the pilot cockpit, on my first attempt I used down slop bricks 2x3. I change my mind and used the bottom of the Police plane Lego set. You could see the pilot seat with the computers screens. I could have used a black seat.
This is the bottom of the fighter, the blue guns are the ion cannons and the red ones are the plasma guns. I try to make the layout sharp and reduced the friction of the plane. I like the used of the Police plane bottom. I try to minimize the color used for the model.
Look at the rear of the fighter 3 reactors, I hesitate to used the blue color, at one point I wish to used the orange from the X-wing fighter. I finally decide that a blue color reactor will be more realistic, since the technolgy to be used should be as less as possible detectable. Also, look at the details and the pieces used closed to the guns. I like this view for the details.
Woah! Another picture of the bootom, I may change it for another view later.
This is a closer look at the reactors, note that the main one is bigger and the two others are smaller. Bellow at the extreme right in the lateral position of the plane I used technic pieces with holes and fix a polish plate on it, this little detail add volume to the bottom.
The top view, one of my favorite. Their is lots of light! Well, Lego are not perfect for evrything. These yellow light close to the pilot are during normal flight close and the others also. I add the light for ethetics and then realize they should be required for something. Well, for landing, take-off, emergencies, docking manouvers, and maybe even during combat or recon flight (these two may indicated that the lights could be moved in different directions).
Finally the rear. See the wholes in the bottom. These could be hide with slope pieces, and result in a more aerodynamic model at the rear. The hole could be used to install a laser gun to protect the rear. The latest choice is my favorite. A closing comments: I think I used Lego pieces from various Lego models of the year 2008 (2007-2009, range).
