Lucas Oil Stadium Tour . Lucas Oil Stadium. Home of the NFL football team the Indianapolis Colts starting in 2008. I thought the long trusses were beautiful, and the retractable roof would be cool to pull off using Lego bricks. Last updated 2009-07-19. . StatisticsScale: 1:250 Bricks: 30,000 (quite a bit less than I expected) plus minifigs (i.e. LEGO people) Conceived: April, 2006 Completed: June, 2009 (debut of completed stadium was a BrickWorld 2009 in Chicago) Total Minifigs: about 1085 plus 22 New York Giants players and 22 New England Patriots players Thanks to all who shared such fantastic pictures on the web. Please click the images to see more of their photos. jump to Videos The exterior Overview from the east Closeup of east facade Overview from the north Signatures from Superbowl XLVI The "bowl" Overview of the bowl View of the southeast corner No bad seats in this stadium? Are you sure? Yes, that's the press box hanging from the trusses. Turning our sights toward the north The north bleachers at night (BrickWorld Festival of Lights) A little closer in. One of my favorite photos (thanks mreimp!). A sidelong view of the east bleachers Action on the Field Field overview The quarterback narrowly avoids a sack by Dwight Freeney Videos A video showing most of the stadium in motion. A nice video made by Turqish69 showing most of the stadium. A nice video of Brickworld Indy from a family's point of view. A short pan of the interior OK, I think this page is big enough, now. Questions?
