Old Norwegian Trainstation . My LEGO version of the real trainstation Ørgensvika. . I'm new to this "Train-stuff" and this is my first trainstation. I live in a town (Tromsø) with no history of trains, the nearest trainstation is 250km away. But I have traveled with train in other part of this country or abroad. It started with first the purchase of the to RC trains, 7897 Passenger train and 7898 Cargo Train Deluxe and a few of the new type of train rails for the RC trains. I have from my childhood some old train-tracks for the 4.5v trains and a few sets from that series. Then I purchased a NXT IR-Link to automate the traincontrol in some way or the other. I testet out with the ultrosonic sensor and the lightsensors, and to hide those I needed a bridge over the traintracks, like a pedestrain bridge. The next logic step was to build a trainstation. But how to build one when you dont know how they look like? I made a few searches around on the internet and found a Norwegian train-fan site with lots of photos of trains and trainstations in Norway. (see www.jernbane.net for more info) Along the Bergensbanen (train track between Oslo and Bergen) I found pictures of a nice littel trainstation, named Ørgensvika, that reasembles in color and design another house I've built in LEGO, the "Swedish House" (more about that house later). This trainstation is one of many buildings I am creating for a hobby exhibition that is going to be held in late september 2009. The design may change a bit in the feature with adding a few more details to it as you'll see in the last pictures. Here is a few images of the house: The front side.
