Why?
Joined buildings . Two old buildings that were eventually bought by the same landlord so that the retail space downstairs could be expanded and rebuilt. . These are two old buildings (from perhaps the early 1900s) that were eventually bought by the same landlord so that the retail space downstairs could be expanded. Later in this building's life, the walls on the ground floor were replaced with plate glass, and the old rear windows of the white building were bricked up. I imagne that a large clothing store like "Urban Outfitters" would occupy this space. Not content with his income, the landlord also added a large billboard to the roof of the brown building.
