Borderworld Series YX "Dromedary" Freighter . My model of the Borderworld freighter "Dromedary" as seen in the game Freelancer. Finally I have managed to build it, take the photos and upload it to my page. I have also changed some minor things compared to the previev version. This is biggest creation so far. Hope you like it! . Statistics: * Gun/Turret Mounts: 3/5 * Armor: 3600 * Cargo Space: 275 * Max Batteries/NanoBots: 23 * Optimal Weapon Class: 4 * Max. Weapon Class: 6 * Additional Equipment: M, CM * Price: 62,820 credits * Level Req. 10 * Sold at: Mactan Base, Magellan System, Independent Worlds (Hacker Base) Configuration: * 1x Class 5 Gun Mount * 2x Class 6 Gun Mount * 2x Class 5 turret Mount * 3x Class 6 turret Mount * 1x Mine Mount * 1x Countermeasure Mount Birds view. In the frontier, the need for individuals to move great amounts of cargo securely is crucial. The "Dromedary" combines the best attributes of the Series Y and an entirely new reinforced structure and defensive matrix to yield and uncompromising solution for commerce and trade in the most rugged of areas. Information In the Freelancer universe, the Borderworld Series YX Dromedary Freighter is the freighter that boasts the largest amount of cargo space. Many player consider this ship to be the freighter of choice. It's nearest competitors are the Kusari Drone which has similar power rating and is cheaper, but holds only slightly more than half the cargo, and the Rheinland Humpback, which is expensive and maneuvers slowly but has better shield, armor and weapon ratings. The beast: 56cm (approx. 22 inch) and 1.6 kilos of plastic (nearly 1600 parts). 3/4 from behind Upper turret, shield emitter, thruster and main engine (top to bottom) and left wing turret, counter measure dropper, mine dropper and right wing turret. Rear turret mounted under the main engine. The huge main engine and the two smaller additional engines. Detailed view of one additional engine. Engine cover opened for maintenance on the fuel conduits. It really looks like a dromedary. Cockpit closed... ...and opened Contols and pilotīs seat, quite comfortable - tan leather! If the back rest is folded down, the pilot can crawl into the back of the ship. The proud owner of the ship at his favourite place, behind the controls. Iīm happy with the look of cockpit, although the windscreen differs from the original. The pillar under the cockpit with two guns and... ...the foward turret. An intake for cooling some machinery, with a few (rather crappy) greeblings inside it. The opened doors to the cargo hold form a platform for easier loading and unloading. New cargo can be inspected here before stacking it inside the hold. Plattform for supervising the loading process and for additional cargo space when it is needed. Okay, the box looks boring, but I had nothing better to put here. Another platform, this one is reserved for a tool box and spare parts for the main reactor. The ladders (here only the left one) will be taken up if the shape of the cargo requires it. Another shot of the supervising platform with a small office/galley combiantion underneath it. Computer workstation on the left and (very important) coffee machine on the right. The pilot would turn into a zombie without a good coffee break! A guy working on the computer. He seems to be analysing an alien artifact. "WTF?! A blue screen? Curse you Microscrap and your Windumb!" Letīs have some coffee and wait for that stupid machine to reboot. View through the office/galley into the shipīs "neck". The neck itself is still empty here. Iīve uploaded an update, you can see --> here UPDATE!
