VDS Advanced Main Battle Tank . Vigilance Defense Systems now presents the Advanced Main Battle Tank. Although the ABT has proved to be an excellent machine, it just can't handle the load of an actual MBT. So, the AMBT was devised. The actual tank is quite a bit smaller than most modern day tanks, but it can still battle with the Big Boys. Featuring a 120mm cannon and .50 cal. coaxial MG, the AMBT is fully capable of destroying most traditional targets. Also, similar to the Israeli Merkava Mk. IV, the AMBT can carry several troops in the rear; namely three. The actual tank relies on two independent engines, which reduces some of the needed space. Although the AMBT is mostly traditional, it features some more unorthodox defenses. Replacing the copula-mounted AA gun, is a electronic array of jamming devices that disarms most missiles that enter any area within 10.7-12.2 meters diameter with the tank being the hearth. Also, the AMBT can traverse some water divisions that most tanks and armoured vehicles can't. This is allowed given the semi-boat hull in the front. Anyhow, the AMBT is crewed by three and can reach a maximum speed of 78.9 kph with full load-out. . Back hatch down revealing troop bay. Troop bay revealed. All hatches open with crew. Suspension in action. Size comparison with tank commander.
