Why?
Dwarf Mine . Here is one of my entries into BrickCon 2009 in Seattle! This is a dwarf mine in the form of a big ant farm. Some knights followed a lizard in there too, and there are some Power Miners as well. This model won "Best Castle" at BrickCon 09. . This dude is checking out what's going on from behind a secret entrance used for transporting ore. He also runs the crank that lifts the carts up the shaft. These guys seem to have burrowed into the mine. A small dragon has eluded the knights and has found it's way into the tunnels. So the dwarfs allow the knights access via a secret rock trapdoor. Here's what the scene looks like. This is part of the mining operation going on. This guy empties the buckets and moves the carts of ore along the track. A little blurry, but this guy collects the carts and sends them up the shaft. Here's a photo of the model at BrickCon in Seattle. Everyone seemed to really like the concept behind it. Photo is courtesy of my good buddies over at The Brothers Brick. Here's the trophy for winning the Castle category. Isn't that a cool trophy!
