Why?
Mercedes-Benz 200, w123 . This is my second Lego Project the most Mercedes-Benz of all the W123 series. I will create all types finally. . After my first attempt of the Rietveld chair and after a lot of browsing on Mocpages I start this new project a Mercedes-Benz my favorit mark. And I am the lucky guy owning one as well. The model will be in white because the engineers in Stuttgart designed it in white as well. So the design is at its best in this color. Below the pictures of my first attempt. It is just the bodywork. As you can see I did order some wrong part so had to replace them with blue ones. The back of the car fits very well. Especially the light compartment took a few itterations before I was satisfied. Now I need to redo the bumpers because they are to thick. Besides I need to replace the Tan parts. I found a new solution. Further more I need to have a second look at the roof. I tried to bring some curve in the roof both vertically and horizontally but that didn't work out very wel. The headlights need some attention. Actually now I see the moc in real i.s.o. in LDD the whole front needs adjustment. So that will be my next round of iterations. All together I am proud about the first results. Next steps will be adding the interior and finally the engine and the spare wheel in the back. Finally I will at some technical stuff like a driveline and steering. So more to come!
