MocOlympics Round 3, group 2 Andrew Colunga vs Steef de Prouw . Oh No! There goes NOT Tokyo! NOT Godzilla! . DRAAAGOOON HEAAART!!! Sorry I just had to get that off my chest (the first time i wrote it it was a ta-da! thing, the 2nd time after the data erased, it's more of an insanity thing.)
Category: Castle!
Opponent: Steef de Prouw! http://mocpages.com/moc.php/153355
As the kingdom of Edon grew and spread it's boundaries there was a mystical understanding among all her citizens that the kingdom shall not progress into the ancient forests.
The old ones who remember that day, the day to end all days that brought upon the red moon, remember that they never feared magic, dragons or demons before then.
Sir Rodin, neither fool-heart, thirsty for fame, or seeking his death, stood before the dragon for his people.
Alas, poor Scribe Franky was set ablaze as the dragon announced it's presence with a fire bolt.
There would be no time to warn the inner kingdom as the monstrous dragon reared it's head through the forest's edge.
The farthest it;'s citizens dared go was to the stone outposts by the forests, and while they never angered the forests, or the dragon, it could sense man's appetite for power.
Sir Rodin would only be the first of many knights to fight and die in the face of the dragon's strike. That is if all the legends aren't true, that those devoured by dragons never die, and instead have their souls trapped in a limbo.
An archer fired down at the dragon, but alas her arrows barely annoyed the beast.
She would be next...
A knight however never retreats from fight!
Fir his sword, skill, soul, and courage are his weapons!
Somoene should really consider extinguishing Scribe Franky...

I promise you all that was much better written the first itme around lol THe first thing i focused on was the dragon head. I had never seen a dragon head done at this scale. I've only seen the giant Legoland statues and smaller ride able dragons. I think the black piece in the eye works really well and I tried to buid curved nostrils ont he end of the nose, but I'm not 100% on the horns, but i'm overall happy with it :)
The new thing here I think would be the usage of the trans-orange dragon wings as large flames in the fire. I've never seen them used before like that but if anyone's seen them before drop a comment :)
TREES!
MORE TREES!
And an overal shot of the set w/o the dragon head. About a month before the MocOlympics I went to my first Lego store! and bought one big cup of mostly nature objects like flowers tree things, and leaves and alot of the nature parts of this is an excuse to dig into those parts :D
Im pretty much happy with this, and I like the height of the trees as well and my first use of a Mr. Frankie face.
But go check out Steef's moc and take it easy :)
DRAGON HEAAAART!!!... Now where are those Heavy Metal mags with dragons in them...
