The Minotaur . . The Minotaur was my first SHIP. It was 146 studs long (almost four feet), and weighed 28 lbs. While I feel that my second two SHIPs were far superior, this one remains popular, so I keep it here. The Minotaur is a heavily armed battle ship. It features two triple-barreled laser turrets, six ion cannons for orbital bombardment, seven fighter bays (3 on each side and one in front) for its fleet of drone fighters, and a variety of smaller arms. Some of my favorite angles: Side view: Bottom view: The back half: A closeup of the back: Another shot of the back, showing the engines: The has fuel scoops to collect hydrogen for its reactors on deep-space missions: The fighter bays, fully loaded with drone fighters: A closeup of the main guns: A closeup of the bridge. Those knobs disguised as greeblies (lower right) rotate the main guns: The exterior airlock doors: A roof section removed to expose the interior of the airlock chamber. Those levers control the interior airlock doors. One interior door leads to the crew quarters, and the other leads to the unpressurized fighter bays: A couple of shots showing the interior of the bridge: The crew quarters: Some construction photos:
