ANF Turboliner . In the early 1970's Amtrak contracted French TGV manufacturer ANF to build a high-speed train to run on regional commuter lines. The Turboliner was the result. The turbos ran as a 5 car consist, with a gas turbine locomotive/first class car at either end, a pair of coaches, and a Cafe car. They were notoriously problematic and were rebuilt in the mid 1990's. This is the original train in a 4-car consist with the original paint scheme. .
