Metroid Vignette – Samus vs. Mother Brain . Samus Aran – adopted child of the Chozo after the brutal Space Pirate assault on K-2L that left Samus as the sole survivor. Filled with anger, Samus has defeated all opponents to reach Mother Brain, a high-ranking Space Pirate leader. Who will prevail? . A shot of Mother Brain, protective case shattered at the hands (or missles) of Samus. My trademark Samus figure. This pose really exhibits the wide range of articulation my Samus fig has. An above shot. I took some liberty with the exact look of Mother Brain's lair, as I wanted it to seem sleek and simple. For the retro-gaming fans out there, a side-view. I've done my best to capture the 2-D feel of the side-scrolling Metroid games, while still making the creation seem appealing in 3-D.
