M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank . This is the Abrams main battle tank. It is the frontline tank of the US military and one of, if not the, most powerful tanks in existence. . I have long been interested in all things military and heavy armor is always cool. This is my version of the Abrams main battle tank in desert tan. This 3/4 shot shows the tracks and track guards, custom decals and the turret. Details to note on the turret are, of course, the main gun, the coaxial machine gun, thermal viewfinder, smoke grenade launchers, storage racks and top mounted machine guns for commander and loader. This top view shows the layout of the turret with hatches and machineguns for commander and loader. A closer view of the turret top with a mini-fig manning one of the machine guns. This view show the turret traverse (a full 360 degrees) and the front glacis plate (frontal armor). This side view shows the length of the vehicle and the main gun. It also gives a good view of the custom decals on the track skirt and side of the turret. A shot of the rear of the tank shows the engine access hatches (actually have been removed, didn't realize until now) and the back of the turret. in the background you can see a 155 MM howitzer and a Stryker APC, pics of them to follow (at some point).
