Why?
"Bah!" and "Humbug!" . A Christmas-ey MOC for this Christmas-ey season... . After chatting with JD Luse about the new Christmas Toy shop LEGO(R) set, he brought to my attention the fact that the female caroler was wearing two capes to give the affect that her cloak had a red velvet lining. I, having not paid much attention to that fact, misinterpreted him and thought the LEGO group had used the method I did in this MOC (to give a 1800's looking greatcoat) but after taking a closer look, I found that they hadn't used this idea, and left it to me... An original idea? From me? Wow... Anywheeze, I started snapping some stuff together and I had originally figured that I'd make a "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" MOC out of it, but then time lagged on, this vignette started gathering dust on my LEGO display shelf and I grew lazy. Before I knew it the calendar’s pages were turned to December and I still hadn't released my coat idea to the LEGO community. Luckily for me, no-one has stolen my thunder... So - here it is, a small vig based on one of my favorite Christmas stories. Obviously, "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. "What a grouch! At least Shannon rocks." I figured that I could enter it in the contest, though I don’t have much chance of win… There it is, the whole reason I built this VIG... So go get under the mistletoe and Merry Christmas!
