Why?
Zimbab Castle . An East African Castle. . This is a hi-bred of Fasilides Castle in Gondar East Africa and the ancient Ruins of Great Zimbabwe, though I think it kind of fits in better with the history of Zanzibar. But really I had Richard Adams 'Shardik' novel in my head when I was building it! I thought I'd have a go at the curved wall technique, but thought I would use plates instead of bricks, big mistake. It takes ages, it hurts the fingers, it costs a lot to get the bricks, and it takes so many bricks... I wanted this to be twice the height, but I ran out of plates! Anyway here it is: ZIMBAB CASTLE As I said it's inspired partly by Fasilides Castle in Gondar, Eithiopia. And partly by the ruins of Great Zimbabwe (in Zimbabwe of course). The cow is slightly Africanized by using Atlantis 'teeth' for horns, looks good! Targets for aiming... Tower of bendyness! Training Ground. Walkways for walking on... what else? Birds eye view. A Christian preacher with a cross on wheels, how cute. Can you see that's a Power Miners lava monster head in the fire pit? I hope not! Looking right through. Casava? Maybe. Turnips? Could be. Don't know, just looked good. Carting is fun... cabbages not so fun. They work as wooden swords: My Favourite bit:
