VDS Light Squad Support Vehicle . VDS now presents the LSSV. The Light Squad Support Vehicle (LSSV) is the intermediate stage between the newer ALRV Mk.II and the MACV. Granted, the LSSV is equipped with a 7.62mm CROWS and can be later upgraded to a manned 12.7mm manned turret (not shown). Also to note, the LSSV is designed to carry five troops at one time and if almost completely stripped an additional four may be accommodated. Although not entirely resistant to explosive charges, the vehicle can resist most small arms fire and up to 12.7mm rounds shot at the cab. In any case, the LSSV is used for logistical purposes as well to carry preliminary supplies to stretched lines. Aside from that, the main idea is for a rapidly deployable unit that can be used in nearly all environments; therefore, civil contracts have been placed, too. . Compared to driver. Note: I know, dark photos are dark. Inspired by and credit to Evan Melick.
