Why?
Crucified Chi Rho . Team Quinqueviri in "Conceptual" . This MOC is a Symbol for Christianity. The most common image for Christianity - I think - is a crucified Christ. The Chi Rho is one of the oldest forms of christogram and stands for Jesus Christ - it is formed by the greek letters for CH (chi) and R (rho). The cross, I think, must not be explained. Both - Cross and Chi Rho (or XP) - are essential and characteristic aspects of Christian being. The Model is the result of uniting both in one sculpture, symbolizing Christianity and the image of crucified Christ in a abstract way. According to the rules of the MOC Athalon a simple cross isn't allowed. Neither this isn't a simple cross, nor - sorry Lee - it isn't a statue of Jesus carrying a cross on his back, so I'm not sure about this entry...
