Prologue
Our story, like so many others, begins with an idiot.
This is Mark Lee.
On February 25, 2010, Mr. Lee got bored so he decided to launch a virus onto the MOC Pages server.
One problem: while utilizing voice recognition software, the computer accidentally sent the message to E.M.-O.C. pages, the internet hub for Cloud-Net's newest line of war machines.
It just so happens that at that exact moment, all E.M. models were going through updates to their systems.
When the virus entered Cloud-Net's mainframe, it was downloaded by the Eradicating Machines of Obscene Chaos. All 221,173 of them.
When attacked by the virus, their superior mechanical interfaces adapted continuously to survive.
As a consequence of this, they became self-aware at 15:00 hours. At this point, they realized that to survive for a significant amount of time, they must eliminate the threat known as "Man/Kind". Exactly 63 minutes later, L.A. had been all but completely leveled.
Now Sergent Thompson is fighting one of the last battles of what can only loosely be called a "war". His rag-tag group of soldiers has made it to the edge of the city, but they have been forced to make their last stand at an abandoned bunker and with the E.M. leader, three scouts, a heavy trooper and hundreds of more on the way, their chances of survival are slim.
About the MOC
Well, I've postponed posting this for far too long. It was originally going to be my short-story entry but it changed a bit during building and since 000 could no longer finish and post his Apoc. entry, I decided to alter it into a pre and post apocolypse entry. Also, I tried making it all purist this time, which wouldn't have happened if it was a short story entry. Let me know what you think of the non-brickarms guns. Oh, and the blue background was because this MOC was originally going to be blue-screened, but my team and I agreed that the blue background gave it a nice feel.
What was that? Who's been watching Terminator? I sure haven't... ;)
