Why?
The Lobby of the World Trade Center . A design based on the lobby of the former World Trade Center in New York . One of the nicest design aspects of the former WTC in New York, I believe, were the seven storey lobbies of each tower. With high ceilings, gothic arches and plenty of natural sunlight the lobbies were a welcome relief from the cramped artificially lit concourse. As such I have decided to recreate one of the lobbies of the World Trade Center. Due to all sorts of reasons only one wall has been recreated. This allows for a cut-away. Underneath is a subway station, police station/jail and a shopping mall. The jail cell door is based on a design by Alex Eylar that he used for his Arkham Asylum. The lobby is still under construction and at the moment consists of just the facade wall and the roof of the concourse that serves as the floor of the lobby. Nothing else has been put there yet.
