Creature from the Black Lagoon . This is the 11th installment in the Dem Bones Monster Series. The creature from the Black Lagoon was a 1954 black and white monster flick from Universal Studios. This movie was originally filmed and released in 3D, one of Universals first 3D films. They are working on a re-make of the film for a 2011 release which hopefully, will be good. Any reason why Hollywood can’t come up with original ideas anymore? Oh well, on to the little tribute! . This is a great old black and white film, which we encourage you to check out along with Universal's other Monster Flicks. The basic plot is the discovery of the “missing link” betwixt land and sea animals deep in the Amazon. They first find the mysteriously murdered members of another team. Turns out, the creature is still alive, at least one is at any rate. We will not tell you anymore, because you should watch it for yourselves! The creature waiting in his underwater lair. Watch out for him, or you will join the bones on the lagoon floor! Gratuitous underwater shot courtesy of a bit of photo editing. A couple final shots in normal lighting, the inspiration for the minifig came from Leda Kat’s own Creature MOC. Dem Notes: This started as a table scrap we built on Sunday while watching some basketball. We were breaking down some older creations and sorting them when our disturbed minds formed the various pieces on the table into Bacon Time and this. We have not done a Monster MOC since the Invisible Man one, so we thought what the heck. This is just a little something to pass the time until we get back to building other projects. As a side note, this took us exactly 8 minutes to build, so yeah, just a quickie. Cheers from the Dem Bones staff!
