Project X - The bottom of the barrel . . ...Or the bottom of the MOC, anyway! For George Kemper's "Project X" collaborative, I was given the subway section of the build. Yep...put me right down at the bottom. Personally, I think George was fully aware of the irony and did it on purpose, but he hasn't admitted to anything yet! So I WAS going to go through this whole elaborate post where sigKelso and SigPhipson would have a little adventure while giving you illustrious MOCpages viewers the dime tour. This is how I had it starting out, with the two of them heading down into the subway... It was about this point where I realized my story line was getting more and more lengthy and complicated; I mean, eleven images in, and I hadn't even gotten to the introduction yet. I knew not only would it not get finished in time (being that I leave for a vacation in two days), but that it was tantamount to torture to put you guys through all of the nonsense I was planning. So now, I've mercifully gone, from this point forward in this post, with a few abbreviated highlights from the original concept. Some of the other things I was planning to incorporate were... The two of us running into Superman changing in the phone booth. (The kids reading this are asking "what's a phone booth?")... Jar-jar Binks defacing public property... Sean Kenney driven over the edge... And a brief encounter with Lee Jones... Yeah, there was some other stuff I was messing with, too. I had Phipson's pants getting caught in the escalator and being ripped off. Sean Kenney projectile vomiting on Chris. Chris stepping back to take a picture and getting run over by a careening subway train. You know, all the usual stuff. Unfortunately, time just wouldn't allow for it. But hey...it's the thought that counts, right? So after all that absurdity, I'll leave you with what this post was REALLY supposed to be about in the first place; my addition to George's "Project X" collaborative... For those lucky enough to be able to attend Brickworld in a couple of weeks, look for it there. And for the rest of you, plenty of images will be appearing here on MOCpages during and after the con. Thanks for visiting! Until next time, my fellow addicts. 8/25/12 - Wow, I'd almost forgotten about this one, until today when it ended up as MOTD. Thought I should mention - now that Georges "secret project" has come and gone - that this small scene was for a Matrix collaboration. And this little section was for the shoot out between Neo and Agent Smith.
