LDD LEGO Universe MOD . Here are some instructions about how to mod LDD, it gives you access to nearly every brick in the LEGO inventory that has existed. . LDD UNIVERSE PALETTE ACTIVATION INSTRUCTIONS |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| For Windows users>>> 1. Close down LDD (If open) 2. Find the file named preferences in the LEGO Digital Designer folder. 3. Open preferences.ini in a text editor (such as notepad) and add the text: Themeaccess=LEGOUniverse 4. Save the file 5. Restart LDD and you will get a LEGO Univers tab. Activation For mac users. ||||||||||||||||||||||||| 1. Close down LDD (If open) 2. Find the file preferences.ini in /User/Library/Application Support/LEGO Company/LEGO Digital Designer/preferences.ini 3. Open it in a text editor and add in the line: Themeaccess=LEGOUniverse 4. Save the file 5. Restart LDD and you can now acces the LEGO Universe palette tab. As you can see the interface is slightly different. Here is picutre of the tools labeled. AU mean "As usual". Here is a description of the new tools: Decoration tool:When you are using it click on a brick (such as minifigure body & head or tile) and if there is any decoration it will open a box with all the possible decorations. As shown below. Paint bucket tool:Does as it says, when using it it paints the brick you select. Colour Selection palette:When you click on it it brings up LEGOs colour palette which has nearly every colour (I think). When you hover Red for example it opens a sub menu/window above the other with any of the variations of the colour, as seen below. Colour Picker Tool:Does as says, use it to select a brick with the colour that you want that is part of your model in the workspace. As seen below. Before--^^^ Notice how the Colour Selection Palette has is a red coloured block. After--^^^ Now see that it has changed to light grey after I clicked on a light grey coloured brick. So thats the new features that are included in the LEGO Universe LDD content. I find it really helpful because now I can create anything using the bricks I need in advanced before building physiclly with the bricks cause it means I can spend more time in front of the heater then my cold bedroom where I keep all my supplies, not that they are large in numbers! UPDATE: Loaction of prefrences file. Just click on the picture to see enlarge. |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
