BSE CT-3060 Commando Ship . Black Sun Empire's CT-3060 Commando Ship, one of the more menacing craft they have to offer. . Hi, Back home, back to lego and everything else that's cool (drinking beer in the nice sunny weather) and straight to work on something I'd had in mind for a while. A long time ago, in a bedroom not that far away, my little brother made his 'white star wars style ship'(http://mocpages.com/moc.php/98170). To this day, it still only has only 1 'like' and 2 comments, yet I think it's really cool. OK, maybe not up to Mark Kelso or Steef de Prouw standard, but the shape, the look, the idea was there. So I decided to remake it, into a dark, black, BSE version. Though keeping nearly exactly the same shape, I upped the scale and made it nearly twice as big, in order for it to be minifig scale. I could have gotten away with saying it was even bigger (different scale) but I like making the interiors too, so that's that decided. Anyway, here we have the CT-3060 commando ship. You wouldn't want to see one if your allegiances weren't with the Black Sun Empire. This ship is fairly uncommon, due to its large manufacturing cost - but it has everything. Powered by four huge thrusters, having shields adapted from much larger vessels, a high-end communications system and even a cloaking device and an arsenal of weapons bristling from under each wing, there's not much else this sip needs. I originally thought my brother's ship was sort of like the moldy crow (on the front anyway), and he thought my engine design was a little like a corvette (the corellian variety, not the chevrolet one, needless to say), and I guess it's sort of a little halfway there - though much smaller than a corvette in size. The CT-3060 has a pilot, navigator, and a team of four commandos on board. There's plenty of space to store weapons, tools and anything else they might need (save large bulky equipment and vehicles). I went for a blacked-out cockpit cuz it looks cool; and on the line of bits that look cool; check out those side intakes and gun arrays :) All in all I'm quite happy with how this turned out. For a ship of its size and scale I love the way it looks, and hope you do too :) If you like this model, and if you're into what I guess could best be describes as 'dark sci-fi' , check out the Black Sun Empire group - http://mocpages.com/group.php/5853 - and if you want to make models for the BSE feel free to join :) Also be sure to check out the model this was based on - my little brother's getting better at building and has made a few vehicles and ships for the BSE himself, the laest of which is really cool. well, I did help him build it... :) You can find his stuff here - http://mocpages.com/home.php/14570. More coming soon.... for now, consider my brother's latest four creations the next four models in the Black Sun Empire.
