"Double X" T-797 Medium non-atmouspheric interceptor craft . Nothing to say here.. .
A fighter i made. I actually made it 2 weeks ago but ive been gone at camp for a week then vacation so i never got a chance, until now! Anyways i like how this turned out, i started wanting to build exactly what i built, a four winged fighter. Now, on to the commentary!
The T-797 is a Medium non-atmouspheric interceptor craft used mainly for destroying enemy fighters and bombers, and is also used frequently for escorts. It is equiped with 2 45 milimeter chainguns which can fire at blindingly fast speeds, 2 50 milimeter machine guns armed with shield distorting rounds, and 8 missletubes. It can be used in atmousphere, using an antigravity generator, giving it the ability to hover. Although very useful, the antigravity generator can only last for a short amount of time, only a few hours, so the T-797 is raarely used in atmousphere but when used it can be a devestating support craft. It can use its normal engines in atmousphere but it has to go at such a speed that it burns through its fuel at 3x the normal speed and can only make quick flybyes while firing a small barage of missiles at slow flying craft, ground troops, or buildings. It can also use its 45 milimeter chainguns or 50 minimeter machinegun but this is very inacurate. In nonatmouspheric combat it is very effective, as it should be because it was designed for such enviorment. It uses its chainguns to rip through the shields and bulkheads of fighters and bombers, and also uses its heavy payload of missles, which are also used against enemy frigates and occasionally larger command ships.
The engine, though it looks small, it packs a lot of punch. The four stabilizer fins add extreme manuverability. Using magnetic field manipulaters they create a magnetic field that manipulates the energy being exerted by the engine to preform insanely sharp turns and manuevers, while losing none of the original thrust exerted. Being so agile, it has out manuever allmost every ship it has encountered and been able to evade the "smartest" missiles and torpedoes. The magnetic field can also "squeeze" the trail of energy being left by the engine, making a comet like effect, but this is just for show.
Front view with fins spread out. This releases a magnetic tension effect and increases speed dramatically, but also brings manueverability to its lowest.
Fins brought in slightly decreases manueverability but also makes the t-797 much harder to hit, this manuever is used mainly when flying straight at an enemy cluster or large ship. This manuever also creates the "comet effect" spoken of earlier

Stand, nothing fancy
Cockpit, which i love how it came out. Possible one of my best cockpits ive ever made. I really like the controls for piloting it, as seen being controled by the pilot, because they really give me that fightor feel, you can just emagine someone at the controls of it! No that is not an astromech driod, it is the T-797 navigational and automized computer systems. The fighter has a renewing life support system that is basically unending, and the ship has a food and water supply in it for 2 weeks.
