Jerusalem A.D. 40 . This miniature diorama of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount is my first large work in miniature. It is based off of illustrations and renderings from the both the internet and the ESV Study Bible. It features many details including a feature which allows it to open, revealing catacombs underneath! The project took two days, and I am very pleased with the results. Please rate and comment! . A bird's eye view. The vignette is 16 by 24 studs. A view of the back and the city. I ran out of brown bricks and did not have enough to finish the back. The city wall and the Royal Stoa. Of course, the Temple itself. I am very pleased at my cleverness here, but yes, it does have a sticker. The Antonia Fortress and the Pool of Israel. This MOC uses four minifig legs in its construction. Wilson's Arch and the west side of the Temple Mount. A picture illustrating the opening system. Remove the white building, and the diorama opens on a hinge. The catacombs beneath Jerusalem! Yes, this is meant to be the missing Ark of the Covenant. I know it is way out of scale, but still, it could be there... And lastly, a source photo for reference.
