No Refuge: Epilogue . Previously: Jake made a final attempt to stop The Prophet and the Order of the Crown. He killed the Hunter and rescued Kira, but stayed behind to finish the job... . Music for this part:
The dropship continued flying.
Loch: "We did good today everyone. The Crown has been weakened, in both force and resolve."
"I know the attack didn't go as planned, but we still accomplished something. We showed them that they aren't untouchable. We have opened the door for others to keep fighting."
"This was a victory. Remember that."
Kira turned away and looked back toward Eden.
Tye: "Hey. You alright?"
Kira turned back toward Eden, not saying a word."
Tye: "Everything's gonna be alright. I promise."
Kira didn't respond.
Suddenly, a bright flash came from the city.
Tye: "No..."
Loch realized what just happened.
Loch: "Shaun. Bring the ship down."
Later that night, the group gathered by a large fire.
Loch: "I want to thank you all again. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for you, and I appreciate you being here."
"I know we have all been through a lot, and we've all struggled to get to this point. We have all lost many things, and we have all been affected by this new world."
"But this is just the beginning. The Crown has been weakened, and we as a people are beginning to thrive once more."
"Look. The sun is setting on this day, but tomorrow it will rise again. So too shall we. Tomorrow's a new day full of new opportunities."
All of you who were a part of this today will be remembered. I know it wasn't easy, it required much courage and strength."
"You will never be forgotten. Those of you who are here... and those who are no longer with us. Their sacrifice will not be in vain. All of you will be remembered as the strong men and women who brought a new dawn to this world."
Everyone stood silent, letting the events of the past few days sink in."
It was Tye who finally broke the silence.
Tye: "So what do we do now?"
Loch: "We press forward. We rebuild and move on. There is still much work to be done and we can't stop now... Will you be staying?"
Tye looked at Kira, tears forming in her eyes."
Tye: "We can't. We can't stay. It's been too painful."
Loch: "I understand. I'm sorry for your loss. Where will you go?"
Tye: "I'm not sure. We'll look for a settlement somewhere. Start over. Create a new home."
Loch walked toward Tye.
Loch: "Well then, best of luck to you, friend."
Tye: "You too. And thank you."
