Why?
U.S.S. Excelsior, Excelsior Class Heavy Battlecruiser, Prototype. . The U.S.S. Excelsior, an Excelsior class prototype heavy battle cruiser, from Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock. . Note that this is the prototype (NX-2000, not NCC-2000). There are slight differences between the prototype shown in Star Trek 3, and the ship shown in Star Trek 6. You can see the differences on Ex Astris Scientia's page on the Excelsior Class (Look under the heading "Studio Model"). Rendered in 3D Studio Max 8. Created in Lego Digital Designer and refined using MLCAD. Converted from .ldr format to .3ds format by 3DWin. All "decals" are meshes designed in Studio Max. Dimensions: Length: 79.3 cm (31.2 inches) Width: 30.8 cm (12.1 inches) Height: 12.9 cm (5.1 inches) Number of pieces: 3242
