Battle of Hoth. Beat the Judges side game entry. . . My entry for the 2010 MocOlympics side games "Beat the Judges!" For my category for everyone to challenge me, I chose Star Wars Diorama. I chose this for two reasons. One, because a lot of people have Star Wars sets and figs and it would be easier for them to be able to compete in this category (and have fun doing it). Two, I just needed another excuse to build Star Wars. So here we go, for my entry I chose the Battle of Hoth from The Empire Strikes Back. "Echo station 3-T-8. We've spotted imperial walkers." "Imperial Walkers on the north ridge." "Make ready to land our troops beyond their energy field, and deploy the fleet so that nothing gets off the system." "Prepare your troops for a surface attack." "Echo station 5-7, we're on our way." "Attack pattern Delta. Go now." Imperial AT-ST (All Terrain Scout Transport). I wanted to add my AT-AT to this dio but since this follows MocOlympics rules, I couldn't. My AT-AT is assembled and on display and it wouldn't be fair to add it to this dio. So, you get the smaller, newly built, AT-ST instead. The T-47 airspeeder. Often refered to simply as the "snowspeeder." The main difference, as you can see, is that I made mine grey instead of white. Never understood why Lego made the speeders white when they were grey in the movie. Sure, to represent the "snow" I get that, but following the same logic, why didn't they make the Star Destroyer black? "Your Higness, there's nothing more we can do tonight. The shield doors must be closed." "Close the doors." And now, I'll shut up and let you enjoy a few shots of the dio... Fourth Wall Commentary: And there ya go kids! My entry for the "Beat the Judges" side games in the category "Star Wars Diorama." I can't wait to see what my challengers post! Good luck to all of you! I had a lot of fun building this and have wanted to build a Hoth battle dio for a while. So thank you Yuri for the excuse! hahaha Well, as of posting this, there's only about 10 hours to go in round 3 of the MocOlympics! Good luck to all the players that have made it this far! Till next time true believers! ~ Chris. EDIT: And since Juan found the AFOL brick, here's pics of it showing so you can see it. Good job Juan, that was a tough one!
