Baby Spidey in Boston Vignette . I made this Lego vignette as a gift for friends who recently had their first child. An anomaly in the image of the ultra scan a few months ago, made the child's eyes appear as if he was wearing a Spiderman mask. As the parents had not found a name at the time, he was nicknamed "Spidey". The theme of the vignette is based on this, and the fact that they live in Boston. The two landmarks I included are the George Washington statue which can be found in the Boston Public Gardens, and the Federal Reserve building which can be seen in the background. I tried to create a "forced perspective" with the latter by putting it into and behind the clouds, as well as putting some other parts in front of it. The gift comes with card which also shows the thoughts and voices of the characters in the scene. In the main scene we have baby Spidey riding on Judge (the family Mastiff), chasing his first villain (and making a mess of the town). The parents are looking proudly on. I made this model in MLCad first and sourced the bricks through Bricklink. Please comment! :) High Res. pics available on my Flickr page. . Spidey Vignette. It looks so simple but I was amazed how difficult it was to sourece the parts for this in the right colors. Parts came from several Bricklink stores in Belgium, Germany and France. Spidey "free" version for when/if, the nickname becomes obsolete. Back of Vignette Spidey Vignette with front of card displayd Spidey vignette with inside of card displayd. The inside of the card shows the "Spidey free" version of the vignette with all 3 figures looking at the camera. Actual Federal Reserve Building Actual George Washington Statue
