Avatar Temple . The idea for building a Far-eastern slash ninja temple came to me while building my previous MOC; Appa from Avatar: the last Airbender, this was to be an Air temple from the same show. The final creation is an Avatar Temple, with tributes to all four elements! . Air As an Air temple it had to be a tall structure, built inaccessibly high and secluded. Except when traveling through the air! That’s why doors open on the third floor opening on nothing but thin air! It measures just about 50 bricks tall. This is mostly limited by the sloped bricks I had available for building the mountains. Water I just had to try my hands on building a waterfall! I put a swan in the stream after visiting the same event as where I obtained the two fish from an old ninja sets (LEGO World 2010 and set 6089, respectively). By then it was too late to use the BURPs from that set to make the mountains higher or wider… The waterfall is just an excuse to fill a bit with blue bricks Earth The mountains, of course, but enough about the mountains… I came up with a new variation of my creeper plant idea: instead of using flowers to hook up multiple leaves, I instead used the flowers as the base to loosely support leaves on! I knew I did not have a lot of room on top to build the actual temple on, so I made up with scenery. It measures 80x32 studs. pity I don’t have any green barrels for the bamboo… Fire The red tile roof and the red plume bricks just cry fire! I love how they top the arches of the roof edges, but I could no longer pose this MOC off as an Air temple…This was the final clinching fact that I strayed from my original idea, otherwise I would have made some shots with Appa in it. This MOC is actually still alive, hogging some wicked white bricks! apologies for the following crude pictures… The big reason why I strayed from my original Avatar idea for a MOC, and came up with this temple, is that I haven’t seen the series in a while. Butttt, have been playing an awful lot of LEGO Universe of late. Don’t you just love the Forbidden Valley? Smashing Dark Ronin, Maelstrom Horsemen, and Dragons!!!? Say “FROG!” to Dalv, Vlad, Oersoep or Propje on Overbuild if you see me! If you answer me correctly how many frogs are in this MOC, I will award you with a cool item! And the interior tour Hope to see you!!! Have fun!!!
