Why?
Salvation . Apocalego 8, or Salvation. . Jericho’s journal: I fell to the ground as I stumbled out of the hole. John walked toward me as I lay there. “What happened?” He asked. “Jack held the monster off while I climbed up.” I replied. We then turned our attention to our savior. “Who our you?” I asked. “My name is Kale.” he answered. “I was scouting the city for supplies, and I stumbled on that trapdoor.” “But how did you get in?” John asked. “Yeah, aren’t the roads into the city all plagued with bandits?” I added. “Oh, I didn’t use the roads.” Kale answered with a grin. He told us he would show the way to his transport, if we would help him get back there. Of course we agreed. We had been walking for a while, when we saw a zombie in front of us. Elliot, without thinking, shot it in the head. He only realized his mistake after the shot had finished echoing. “Oops….” He muttered. We ran as fast as we could down the streets, not pausing to take breath. The zombies would be upon us soon. I heard a noise behind us as we ran, and I glanced back. There were two zombies following us. We jumped over the base of a ruined building and kept running. We suddenly found ourselves in a large clear area between two buildings. In front of us was a magnificent airship. “ALL ABOARD!” Kale shouted, as we ran towards the ship, shooting zombies as we went. We made it to the back of the airship, but more zombies were coming. Kale ran onto the ship and turned some cranks and pushed some buttons before taking the wheel. As we lifted off, I saw Austin smile for the first time since I’d met him. Elliot let out a joyous laugh as the wind tugged at his hair.“So, where are we headed?” I asked. “The last and safest place left….” Kale started to answer. “The Edge.” There you have it. Apocalego number 8. Took a real long time to come out, but I think it's great.
