DA-81 "Scorpion Queen" Heavy Battle Platform (RC) . The DA-81 "Scorpion Queen" is a heavy battle platform and troop carrier designed to penetrate enemy defenses and drop off small squads of infantry while being able to stay under the range of anti-aircraft guns. Enjoy! . While slower than drop ships or even most light APCs, the Scorpion Queen is able to travel on land, making AA guns less effective against it, as well as provide a large dose of cover fire for the troops it carries. The main sensor array (aka head) was designed with an insectoid appearance. DA creative processors calculate that terror in their organic adversaries leads to their disarray. The extra resources needed for such cosmetic upgrades outweighs the resources needed to repair damaged units. The rear steering was unintentional, it was meant to be forward steering. I still have much to learn about power functions! The back platform is equipped with a variety of weapons, giving the Scorpion Queen the ability to "sting" all categories of enemies. The front end features the troop bay. The open bay seems unprotected, but in reality, the troops housed there aid in defending the unit as a whole, reducing the overall damages. Rear weapons array: 2 medium pulse laser turrets 2 anti-aircraft/vehicle missile pods (6 missiles per pod) 1 heavy arc lightning turret A somewhat better angle of the arc lightning turret. The turret releases a concentrated electrical charge that disables machinery and burns organics to a crisp. Right side armor/greebling Left side armor/greebling Headlights! INFANTRY DA-82_A and DA-82_B general infantry commander and general infantry, respectively. DA-83 "Prowler". Attacks with powerful melee actions, effective in close-quarters combat. DA-84 "Brawler" heavy infantry, equipped with a grenade launcher and plasma blade. AG Psi Elites (4x4 vignettes) As seen in the main picture, attempting to slow down the Scorpion Queen on her quest to penetrate AG lines. This guy is a plasma specialist, able to create almost any shape out of superheated plasma. A subzero specialist, this elite uses his katana as a conductor to freeze enemies solid. Lastly, the fire specialist. While his fire is not as hot as plasma, he can create a lot more of it than his companion. The Scorpion Queen's blades allow it to rip through larger obstacles, such as mechs, fences, etc. The armored plating on the sides of the arms not only protects the Scorpion Queen, but acts as a ramp to deploy the infantry. Black light shot! Just got a bulb yesterday. :) So, here is my second RC vehicle, and I must say, it turned out better than my first. However, as you can see in the video, the steering is kinda touchy and it isn't fast at all. Anyone who has experience with power functions, if you have some advice, please share your knowledge. Thanks for viewing!
