Formula 1 from 4939 . Formula 1 from 4939. . Whoa whoa whoa, I just did a major audit of our sets, and was missing 2 wing pieces from 4891, and when I got round to auditing this set, I found them ON this alternate, so I am sorry to those who might have attempted this model, and found they were short. And I am sorry for misleading the group, it was not intentional, I had no idea they were in there. I was missing the instructions and list of parts. They are used on the front in front of the wind screen, and on the sides, toward the rear tires, you can see 4 of them, they are 2x4 plate wing pieces, there should only be 2 in this set. I will reconstruct this version with the pieces in the set to see if it is able to come together some other way, but for now, I have built another alternate that does use only pieces from the set. Sorry about that. This is my proper attempt at a Formula 1 from 4939 (but as you see above it does not qualify for my 'Alternates of Creator' group), and a better set of images, sorry for the dark images from my cell phone before! I rather like the overall finish I got, but I wish the overall proportions were better, and maybe the front wing could have been better, but it is not too bad, the rear wing originally I had as the inverted windscreen, but I much rather the box wing like this. This model is not that fragile actually, the wing can lose the side panels easily, and the mirrors can fall in easy too if pressed down, definately for the shelf.
