The Phoenix class . This is my entry for the FLI Steam Punk Contest. Please note that the whole STORY is just that A FICTIONAL STORY thank you and read on. The Phoenix class submarine was as we all know created after the destruction of New York at the hands of a navel and army assault. The United States had disbanded over eight tenths of the traditional Navy in favor of the new aeroforce and is aeroplanes and areoships. The city was destroyed in hours but out of the ashes came a strengthened American spirit. War loomed on the horizon, the first intercontinental war for a hundred years. From the ashes of New York came the Phoenix class and the New York shipyards. With the first hundred off the line in a month and the story that each one had been built from the rubble of New York it was dubbed the Phoenix class. And was deployed in the pacific days after that. . The Phoenix class was armed with 3 torpedo's and powered by 4 engines, making it the faster than any of its competition, but is controlled by only one man. Front and minifig The main engine that uses a propulsion method that increases the subs speed by 40% The top from the front The top from the back I had to take off the entire body to get these shots. the controls the furnace Ship is powered by an oil fire that burns hotter than a wood fire. The submarine transporting marines.(not meant as part of the contest unless it gives me a higher score)
