Why?
The First Gate of Gondolin: The Gate of Wood . Tuor accompanied by Voronwe have found the way to Gondolin but elves of the Noldor and of Gondolin have captured them not knowing of Tuors quest from Ulmo. Tuor must take Ulmo's council to Turgon the high king of the Noldor and of Gondolin. Since Voronwe knows the leader of the elven gaurds they have been allowed to live and be judged before Turgon. To get to Turgon and Gondolin they must pass through 7 gates the first being of wood, leading out from under the mountains that encircle the secret city. . Close ups on the rocks. There my first rocks so I have a lot of improving to do. Close ups of the elven guard, Tuor, and Voronwe from the other side. The lamps carried by the elves contain a flame encased in crystal. They can't be extinguished and last for ever. I made them by cutting off the jagged part of a key and putting a 1x1 cone on what was left.
