Minifig Black Ops Crossbow- Really Shoots! . A Black Ops inspired minifigure-sized crossbow that actually fires bolts very accurately. . A soldier and his trusty explosive-tip crossbow Cocking the crossbow Loading the bolt The bolt can be placed in either of two grooves This would be your last sight before meeting an unpleasant fate Aiming at the enemy A direct hit in the throat And the bolt violently explodes So I know it isn't that pretty looking, but I think that the sheer coolness overcomes the sub–par looks. I mean, it does look like the Black Ops crossbow, but not exactly. I used a Lego rubber-band for the bowstring, so it is purist I guess. It actually cocks and then fires a "crossbow bolt," a Lego screwdriver. It can actually fire two at a time, from the two grooves in the top. It can shoot fairly far (about 4 feet), but what really astounded me was its accuracy. I set up another minifigure as a target from about a foot and a half away, and I shot the minifig-target five out of seven shots. It was very consistent with that rate. The only misses I think were due to me aiming over the head, not to the crossbow being off. So this thing has some pretty blistering accuracy. This build was just kindof a revelation, so I'm curious what reaction this moc will get, because this is the first minifigure scale crossbow on mocpages that actually fires bolts. I hope you guys like this, and thanks for looking!
