Mars Mission Crew . Here's my Mars Mission crew. I've always loved the Mars Mission theme (and the Life On Mars theme, too!), so I created my own crew. My spin on the theme will go into effect when I have the time to post some Mars Mission MOC's. Thanks for looking, and I hope you like the pics. .
James Richter is the MARS MISSION Pilot. He landed the NASA space shuttle "Orion" on the planet's surface by himself, and pilots MX-11 Astro Speeders during ranging and scouting missions.
John Thornton is the MARS MISSION Commander. He leads the team of astronauts on the new frontier.
Jimmy McCall is the chief of the engineering and designing department. He works alongside Kim Johnston with creating blueprints for control bases and 3D designs for new vehicles. Contrary to what the rest of the crew says, he is not a girl. The crew consistently teases him about his shoulder-length hair, but look up to him when in need of new extra-terrestrial craft.
In my opinion, he looks a little like John Lennon.
Thomas Shatner is the MARS MISSION crew's primary land-oriented vehicle pilot. He is responsible for cave inspections and handles some of the toughest mining equipment the crew has to offer.
Kim Johnston works with Jimmy McCall in the designing and engineering department of the MARS MISSION. She is extremely protective of her coffee and her coffee cup. Don't touch it. Ever.
Dave Wilder is the MARS MISSION mining specialist. He works with Thomas Shatner in the mining fields, where they sample Martian soil and, later in the story, discover huge reserves of a new energy-producing element.
Ivan Kuznetsov is a Russian Cosmonaut working with the MARS MISSION crew. They picked him up on the ISS during an extended rendezvous, and he has been collecting and transmitting some data to his Russian counterparts on the ISS. Things get choppy between him and Dave, who deliberately makes Soviet Russian jokes around Ivan.
Michael Gilbert is the ranging, locating, and mapping specialist of the MARS MISSION crew, and is in charge of managing communications systems with NASA and the ISS. He is extremely happy and funny, but is also extremely serious about his work.
Dalton Young is the primary demolitions expert. When the MARS MISSION had to construct a base on the side of a Martian mountain, Dalton was responsible for carving a shelf in the side of the landform so that construction could begin.
