USS JALAPI Bridge tower section (Minifig scale) . This is a Minifig scale version of the bridge tower section of the USS JALAPI. I put over 10 hours of work into this. Iím very happy with how it came out. It was made because I plan to use the ship for a stop motion series (Pilots of the Caribbean), and the ship is a mini model so I have to make sets of its interior. All the sets have removable walls for filming purposes. Even though the original mini model was grey I decided to make the full scale one red. This was due to the fact that I was out of grey parts. Of coarse then I ran out of red so I still had to order extra parts, but the bridge looks really good in red and I latter rebuilt the mini model so every thing turned out OK in the end. . Version I This was the first version (duh!) of the bridge. In this version it just had the bridge and the war room but only the bridge was furnished. It was also way too cramped, I wanted it to have a cramped look to it but this was a little extreme. The photo copier: Version II It took a wile to make version II, it took me 3 months to get around to ordering the parts I needed, but it also took 7 or 8 hours to build it. I actually had to partly rebuild the mini model again because I changed some stuff from version I Ė version II. The over the top, enormous radar dish with a 1 mile range (it is a really old radar dish so it has to be that big just to get that far). The 3rd floor; the bridge and war room (only the bridge is furnished): The 2nd floor; the balcony, Iím thinking of putting some picnic benches up here, I think they would look nice: The 1st floor; The captains office, storage closet, and barber shop: The barber shop: That chair leans back so barber can wash peopleís hair in the sink. The interior of the captainís office was made separate because it is easier to film it that way. The mini model and Minifig scale model next to each other. You can see that as big as the radar dish is on the Minifig scale model it is still too small. I modified the mini model after I realized that it didnít match the big model. I have also made another set of some of the other internal rooms. I would link it but for some reason all of the links I make never work so you will just have to find it via my home page.
