FOTR Contest Winners . Here is the "MOC of Honor", announcing the winners of the Fellowship of the Ring: "LOTR Trilogy Contests". Before we go on, I would just like to say that every-ones entries were absolutely incredible to one degree or another, so (contestants) pat yourselves on the back. Bravo! I'm sorry for being a day late in posting this, but at least it's here! And winners, I'm sorry if I did poor renderings of your sig-figs, etc. I did the best I could with the pieces I had. Hope everyone enjoys and we are ready to move on to the next 8x8 contest: The Two Towers! . Hey folks it's me, Ian, in my full elven attire. That's right folks! We're in Rivendell! I thought it only fitting that the winners of the "LOTR Trilogy Contests" part one: The Fellowship of the Ring, should be acknowledge where the Fellowship began: at the Council of Elrond. So moving on to the winners! In third place we have Paul Romano with his incrediblely awesome micro-scale Kahza-Dum, Gandalf and the Balrog: "You shall not pass!" Now in all honesty I could not quite figure out his sig-fig, so I used his brilliant micro Gandalf design to represent him. Congratulations Paul! Paul Vermeecsh, lord of the tree tops, with his awesome 8x8 Lothlorien entry! Sorry that the tree isn't gray... So in second place (obviously) we have Paul Vermeesch! Wow another Paul! Congratulations Paul! Now a few quick words before we move on to the first place winner. Both of the Pauls practically tied in the averaging scores, so I had to go back and look over everything to decide who got second and who got third. In other words, they both did extraordinarily well and deserve equal amounts of applause. Well done guys! Now moving on to the first place winner. From here on out I am appointing a special award to the ultimate winner of the "LOTR Trilogy Contests", so whoever wins first place not only gets that title, but also the title of: Ring Bearer. This contest's Ring Bearer award goes to..... The Fisherman! With his Pass of Caradhras. Congratulations on winning first place in the "LOTR Trilogy Contest" part one: "The Fellowship of the Ring"! My Preciousss! "Alive without breath; as cold as death; never thirsty, ever drinking; clad in mail, never clinking. Drowns on dry land, thinks an island is a mountain; thinks fountian is a puff of air. So sleek, so fair! what joy to meet! We only wish to catch a fish, so juicy sweet!" (The Two Towers, J.R.R. Tolkien, pg.269) That is just a little poem relating to The Fisherman, from Gollum! Let's give a round of applause for our winners! Closing announcements: So that's a rap on "The Fellowship" for now. (Special thanks to Lwc Guy for inspiring me to start this contest with his 8x8 "the great ouch contest"). Contestants, be looking out for topic: "updated rules", which I will be posting in the next day or so. You will probably want to look over them before you start building your Two Towers entries (however the contest is now open for Two Towers entries, even though I have yet to set dates for the end). No more story towers are permitted. Your creation can be tall, but it can only depict one scene from the Lord of the Rings stories. Also GIVE A BIG HAND OF APPLAUSE for our Fellowship of the Ring contest JUDGES: Max Pointner, Ru Corder, and Michael Kirnge. If you are interested in judging for "The Two Towers" contest, please right in topic: "Judges #2". I will be choosing these judges soon. A shot of the build minus the figs (directly above), it's not 8x8! Ahhh!
