The Radio . From the Vintage 2010 Collection. . I actually built this in 2009, but revisited the project and completely rebuilt it in 2010. This is a loose replica of the prop radio from Gilligan's Island. The actual radio is a modified Packard Bell AR-851,an eight-transistor AM radio with an added telescoping antenna to make it more "radio-looking". (...and yes, I know it says TEAC. Packard Bell would be too long to write in tiles. I used a little creative license). Today this model is on display in a tribute to the TV show on a private island in the Bahamas after being purchased by the illusionist and Gilligan's Island fan, David Copperfield in the summer of 2010. Thanks for visiting, feel free to comment or ask any questions!
