Durus the Invincible . Made for Team Z's entry to the Bio Thon in Category #3, Toa of Earth. Enjoy! . Name: Durus Species: Onu-Matoran (Toa) Element: Earth Mask: Akaku, Mask of Vision Weapons: Brute strength, battle hammer, wrist guard Theme song: Iron Man (Black Sabbath) Durus was among the first Toa of Earth, when the world was young and fierce. Strong as his terrifying adversaries may be, Durus was even stronger. He could withstand nearly any attack until his opponents tired themselves out. Then, with a mighty swing of his hammer, he would obliterate them. Durus' unflinching determination helped tame the world so that Matoran could live in peace. I really wanted to go for the classic, tank-like Toa of Earth look, and I think I did rather well. That slightly darker HF silver really looks good with black. Durus' hammer was a fun weapon to build. A good Bionicle hammer is extremely difficult to build, especially while maintaining a size to weight ratio that a Toa can lift. Legs. I wonder why people don't use HF leg armor for thighs more often, it looks pretty good. Back. Slightly more segmented armor leaves Durus' back more vulnerable, but allows for more range of motion than the rest of his solid armor allows. Besides, who is going to get past a two-ton Toa? Battle pose, oh yeah! Durus can use his wrist guard as a weapon when there isn't enough room to effectively swing his hammer. In all honesty, getting hit with any part of Durus means you're having a bad day. Bio-Thon Link. Thanks for viewing, this guy was a fun build, his heavy-set appearance was a different and refreshing for a Toa MOC. I hope I get good scores! Thanks for viewing, and let me know what you think!
