Small 18th Century Coastal Sloop . A coastal sloop of the royal navy. . This is a small 18th century coastal or lake sloop. It has very limited room below deck, but a fairly spacous deck. The dingy is chained to the back of the boat, but could be hauled abourd and suspended under the boom or from the stern of the boat. This small chip would typically be unarmed or armed with only swivel cannon. I added a couple of 24 pounders for a few photos but the main armament is a brace of nine pounders. The photos of the ship without sails aremade to look like pirates, however the ship is crewed by the royal navy as per the 1770 order. If anyone has suggestions or comments, please feel free to let me know.
