Why?
NXTified Unimog (8110) . Put a NXT in one of the greatest LEGO TECHNIC sets ever and you get "The NXTified Unimog (8110)". All the original functions are maintained, but by using the NXT my truck can drive, steer and toot the horn too. The NXTified Unimog has also working flash lights. . Watch my video: I removed the Battery box, and placed the NXT-brick in the space I created . I put two NXT-motors in the Cabin of the Unimog. One for driving forward and backward with different speeds and one for steering left and right. When you drive Backward the Unimog makes a warning sound. Near the NXT you find a Hitechnic IR receiver sensor. By using this sensor I can control the Unimog with a Power functions remote control. I put power function lights in the flash light on top of the Unimog. With the NXT I programmed them to flash. Behind the steer you find a LEGO SCALA girl figure. She fits perfectly in the Unimog. All the original functions are maintained. So the Unimog is still able move and turn the crane, roll out the winch and fold out the legs. I only moved the switches from the right site to the left side of the Unimog. This was for making more space for the NXT-brick. Bye bye, Anika Vuurzoon
