MocOlympics round 4: Rinse-Jan vs George G . Quoth the Raven - Build a scene or story based on the work of the American writer Edgar Allen Poe. . Happy Halloween
-Worthy opponent George G
-And his entry
Just like last time, I had no clou what to build for our category. But I knew that I wanted to build something with ĎThe Ravení in it, because I liked the poem right after reading. Then I had to decide how to make the scene. I donít know why, but I came up with a minilandscale project. So with this idea in my head, I started building. I managed to come up with several clever solutions for some hard problems, like having to little or the wrong bricks for the minilandheads ect. Little by little it came together, and this is the result!
Can you find all of the amazing details? It looks kind a plain, but it really isn't!
I wanted to make it the scene somewhat bigger, but I didn't had enough bricks for that. Also I have been volunteering at LEGOWORLD so I ran out of time for building at the end. Still Iím very pleased of how (all of the attributes in) the chamber turned out. Only the quality of the photoís isnít like usual, hope the judges can look through that. However, I hope you all will enjoy the result, I did my best for this category.
Not so many photo's (looks only good from one point of view):
You got to look good to see all the details (like the little snow by the window!) or just the Raven en the bust of Pallas (miniland style)
I tried to capture a old Englisch/American style. But since I'm no Englisch neither American civilian, I sucked...
The fireplace also gave light, but you can't really see that on the photo...
Please comment if you have anything to say, good or bad. I want to hear all of your thoughts about this build (or any other build) so I can improve my building or photo making skills. Also check my flickr
When there is nothing left to say, these are my last words: May the best builder win.
Which, in this case was my opponent George G. good luck in the rest of the commpetition George G!
