Heroica Waldurk Deluxe . Here is a Heroica map I made out of the Waldurk Forest set. New features include Magic Gates and Keys, Ride-able Steeds, and Food. .
I made it, trying to combine the size and scale of my World Map with the modular quality of the normal Heroica boards.
As you can see, I spaced the spaces apart. You can only move onto one that is adjacent and is connected by a green tile. Also,to compensate for the increased size, Shield does not mean "move 4", it only means move three.
Magic gates. And my poor excuse for a magic gate. I needed three, okay? Anyway, when you move up to a magic gate, you roll the die...
...To see which magic key you need to use. Sword means blue, Skull means red, and Sword/Skull and Shield mean green. You may only carry one key at a time, and once you use one, the gate is removed and the key goes back to the space from where you got it.
Steeds! You can hop on top of these to increase speed and give you special abilities.
War Elephant: Move +1 and Strength +1.
Horse: Roll the die twice.
Siege Engine: Move +2 and Ranged Attack.
(Ranged Attack: if you are up to four spaces away from an enemy, you may try to roll Shield to see if you hit it. If you hit it, it takes one health away. You do not get any Skill Points for monsters killed with the Ranged Attack.)
If you want to mount an animal, you must roll Sword or Shield to tame it.
Food. These heal one health when you eat them, and they sell for one gold.
The updated store. Weapons and Potions work just like on my World Map.
Treasure! When you land on a treasure chest, end your turn and roll. You get whatever thing is on the space that matches your roll. (A monster there means you take a hit.)
Monsters are the usual baddies found in the forest. Combat and Lycanthropy are the same as described in my World Map.
The Hero Packs. Again, the Skill Points and Hero Abilities are as described in my World Map.
The parts.
Well, what do you think?
