VDS Medium Tactical Insertion Airframe . VDS presents with exuberance the answer to the growing demand for a new, agile air taxi with the Medium Tactical Insertion Airframe (MTIA). After decades of many air forces and other military bodies having to rely on airframes that have been around for many a year, Vigilance Defense Systems took on the task of designing a fresh bird capable of out-competing many vehicles designed to fit the same category. The MTIA is meant to insert six to eight men (depending on outfit) within a combat zone while being able to demonstrate covering fire and rapid go-to ferrying speeds. Although the overall payload is rather lesser than some other helicopters, it is usually capable of making twice the number of runs in the same amount of time as those same birds. The particular model shown in this catalog is equipped with a plethora of SOF-based equipment such as the refueling probe, FLIR, exhaust masks, etc. . An MTIA scaled with one of the two required pilots. Doors open; guns manned. Note: I apologize for the dark and blurry photos. They were taken rather late in the day and I had to use my lamps alone for lighting. Note: Like always, this is a copy/shitty rendition of another MOC, or two in this case. Original models can be found here and here.
