Pimped my 8081 off-roader . Recently bought Lego set 8081. Just a simple distraction after the 8110. This is a great off-roader and well design. . I bought this Lego set 8081 a few weeks ago in a LEGO store in Düsseldorf (Germany). I bought it for the design because it is not very sophisticated. I don't now why but I love the design of this model. When it was finished it turned out to drive very easily so I thought about a pimp job. I added head lights, XL engine for driving and ML engine for steering. It took me a while before I had the XL engine in without removing 4 cilinder motor. That is the reason why I placed the XL between the front chairs. It drives great and is very strong and can drive up pretty steap angles. For steering I used the ML by just replacing the vertical steering axle from the roof. Just for fun, I added the air inlet from the B-model. (actually my son of 7 wanted to have it on the hood) I tried to take pictures of the details for the construction of the engines. On the roof a bagage rack. Unfortunately I only have for wheels otherwise I would have placed a spare on the roof. All in all a nice project. At least my kids love to play with it now.
