Moc Speed Contest Round 4: Professor Pelew's Theory of Moc Speed . Prepare for MOC Speed! How fast exactly is "MOC Speed"? Show us, and the machine/ship/vehicle/whatevah that can accomplish it! I chose to explain Moc Speed with Professor Pelew and his maniacal machine. . A select group of individuals gather in Professor Pelew's spacious laboratory to witness their not so illustrious colleague's latest discovery. Pelew: Greetings to all of you. We are gathered together to delve the great mystery of "Moc speed." Contrary to my previous suppositions, "Moc Speed" is a different kind of energy than what we have dealt with in the past. ................ Dame Lyonesse: Are you going to tell us your theory? Shall we return when you are finished with your dramatic pause? Pelew: Very well I shall try to speak simply. "Moc Speed" is not the rate of how a build is put together, but rather, the product of a builder's physical speed and his skill. To put it bluntly, "Moc Speed" is equal to the Rate times the Skill of a certain individual. "Moc Speed" is a mental energy that is unique to the individual builder. Once I had a general idea to go on, I was able to build a converter and storage capacitor to hold this mysterious energy. Pelew: If you will look to the stage you will see the masterpiece of my later years. Let us begin a tour of the entire works. If you all will follow me around the machine, I will reveal the power required for my invention. Pelew: Watch your step around here there is very little traction. General Grant: I see you have this connected to the city grid. You certainly have a permit, do you not? Pelew: Yes, yes its in an envelope on the mantle-piece. Pelew: As Grant mentioned, I am using the city's power. My own boiler-room proved inadequate for such energy. The machine is connected with a conducting material of my own invention. Pelew: Note the grating in the floor for extra cooling action. Dr. Jade: Note it? I almost lost my leg. Pelew: Well then. Lets continue. You may return to a safe distance. Pelew: Here is my masterpiece! it consists of a mind melding device to extract the "Moc Speed" energy and a capacitor to store the special power. Pelew: With the help of my assistant here, who happens to be a skilled and speedy builder, I will harness the most powerful energy known to me! We are about to behold the very hammer that will crack the nut that is the "Moc Speed Mystery." .............................. Dame Lyonesse: There he goes again. Mister Hersh: Mayhaps we shall wait hours before finding out if this machine actually works. Laird Orlando: Anyone pack a deck of cards? The entire build. The machine! The power-line. The Podium. The Viewing platform. The stage. General Grant. Professor Pelew. Mister Hersh. Dr. Jade. Dame Lyonesse. Laird Orlando. This was built for the "Moc Speed Contest." I had a blast building this and I hope you were able to follow the cracked story-lines from my brain. I was very glad that this category was not microscale and I enjoyed throwing together these figs. Thanks to Flare, George, and Ben and congratulations to the other semi-finalists. Oh yes, I did take pictures in the snow, so if you see a stray flake in there, ignore it.
