MOC Speed Contest Round 4: Phip's Ship . . Here's my entry for round 4 of Flare's MOC Speed Contest. The category is "Prepare for MOC Speed! How fast exactly is "MOC Speed"? Show us, and the machine/ship/vehicle/whatevah that can accomplish it!" I decided to build a starship to cover the "Speed" part, and I thought it would belong to Mr. Kelso and Mr. Phipson, as they are skilled "MOC"ers and moderators of "MOC"pages. Whenever they anger Sean Kenney they can now make a quick escape, and wait until everything boils over. Like when Chris Phipson spilled coffee on the MOCpages servers... Mark Kelso and Officer Phipson standing in front of "Phip's Ship" as Mr. Phipson named it, much to Kelso's chagrin. A painting of Mark Kelso adorns the flank, somewhat un-detailed since it was Phipson, not Kelso who painted it. The other side has a picture of Chris Phipson in his trademark sunglasses. The front. Getting all the angles right on this part was a difficult, yet enjoyable task. The engines. Also a small precision thruster near the bottom. The back of the cockpit area. The cockpit, it was the first part I built. I'm surprised that I hadn't used the Slave One windscreen before; it's really a great piece. Control consoles. A Harry Potter painting by Mr. Kelso. A stereo provides amusement on long journeys. Phipson and Kelso at the helm! Another cockpit shot. This photo really shows the scale nicely. This is easily the largest starship I've ever built, and it dwarfs the minifigures. Thanks for viewing!
