Dark Hunter Squad: Hand of Ancient . Hello once again everyone! There is a little-known contest going on right now, the Dark Hunter Contest! There's a link below if you want to join, entries aren't due until March 10th. Anyway here are my entries: the Hand of Ancient! . Link to Dark Hunter Contest. Contest rules said we had to build a team of at least three Dark Hunters. Well... I've built seven. Hopefully the four superfluous ones will net me some extra points. :P ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ The Hand of Ancient is a squad of 7 Dark Hunters of varying races and abilities, hand-picked by the Shadowed One’s lieutenant, Ancient. These elite bounty hunters and assassins are assigned to difficult missions, always staying low-profile and inconspicuous while expertly carrying out their objectives. There are seven members of the Hand of Ancient: Furnace, Ronin, Hermes, Rasp, Shade, Anlace, Morningstar. Hermes was a Ko-Matoran inventor who created special high-tech boots giving him advanced speed, jump height, agility, and also limited flight. He carries a sword taken from a former target. Hermes joined the Dark Hunters after several yeas of freelance bounty hunting. Morningstar was a Steltian warlord with a large army, but it was destroyed by Pridak's conquest when Morningstar's forces infringed on the League of Six Kingdoms' territory. He later joined the Dark Hunters along with two of his generals in hope of glory, and revenge on the League. Morningstar's codename comes from his signature weapon: a large flail, or morningstar, attached to his wrist. THIS ONE, TTV Furnace gets his name from his signature ability; using his large bellows-like stomach, this eyeless Dark Hunter can exhale large and powerful flames. For a more effective melee weapon, Furnace's arms end in blades. Lacking eyes, Furnace navigates via smell and taste; this can be a major weakness should he nasally inhale his own fire. Furnace is a devout follower of Morningstar and willingly joined the Dark Hunters when Morningstar did. AND THIS AS WELL Anlace wields a pair of retractable wrist daggers, which is the basis of her codename. She is very fierce in battle, and with her blades at the ready, she is a very deadly opponent. She was once one of Morningstar's generals, and joined the Dark Hunters with him and Furnace. Shade is your typical silent-but-deadly assassin; he is also a master strategist. Shade has the ability to generate powerful bursts of energy. If this potent ability is knocked out of control, Shade can be a pure destructive force and a hazard to all those near him. Shade's pulse blaster allows him to keep his energy in check, and focus it in a strong beam or burst. Nobody knows exactly where Shade hails from or what species he belongs to, but it is rumored that he is an enhanced Vortixx who renounced his native culture, later joining the Dark Hunters in the hope of finding something (but nobody knows what). Rasp is a veteran Dark Hunter, originally joining the ranks for fortune. He lost his hand in a battle in the Toa - Dark Hunter War, replacing it with a combination of a light gun with heavy double blades. He is ruthless and intelligent, a master at setting complex traps and ambushes. Rasp gets his nickname from the growling undertones of his voice. Ronin is a Toa of Sonics. He is quite adept in the use of his element, but often while on missions he prefers to use his weapons instead. He is reclusive and quiet, as are most Toa of Sonics, but his silence helps him to be the stealthiest member of the team. Ronin carries a protorifle and a spear. Ronin's reasons for joining the Dark Hunters are unknown, but the Shadowed One is keeping close tabs on him. Additional commentary and notes: ・Shade was going to be my secondary self-MOC, but I have now decided to give that slot to another MOC. Shade will probably still be revamped/upgraded sometime in the future. ・When he talks, Rasp sounds like Clint Eastwood. ・Ronin is vaguely samurai-inspired, most notably due to the helmet, armor patterns, and spear. ・An anlace is a type of knife. ・Hermes got his name from his shoes and wing-like helmet. ・Furnace is most certainly intended to look chubby. ・Morningstar is a member of Sidorak's species, the upper class Steltians. Thank you for taking the time to read this! Hopefully I do well in the Dark Hunter Contest, good luck to all participants! Remember, you can still request posters here. That's all for now!
